Yeah, it's ... frustrating. The main line is that "we make the world's cleanest oil", which is both dubious and referring to production that makes up a small amount of emissions compared to burning the stuff. But when pressed the middle square is what takes over.

When the #billionaires retreat to the #bunkers, how many #servants will they bring with them? How will they incentivize the servants not to rebel?

In a previous job I had a disussion with one of the partners who did the guy in the center and the bottom right and it was extremely frustrating. I considered the man intelligent (he was very succesful in business), but he kept on coming with arguments of this quality, that he obviously made up on the spot, whereas the topic to me obviously requires carful thought.

Also made very obvious to me that one can be successful in business without having any clue about ethics (or anything else for that matter) at all.

I hear similar excuses from my friends who fly a lot, drive big SUVs, have two homes, eat meat, and in general live high-carbon lifestyles despite knowing better. Thanks for framing this.

the guy in the bottom left corner isn't wrong, you know. the only bad news is that the carbon-sucking device will spew out oil.
