I had initially assumed that it was a guide for improving ux for disabled people. That's why I demanded compliance with them for the newspaper in the first place

Granted, I did also implement some additions based on what disabled members of the newspaper had recommended, such as allowing for font choice, making it easier to use opendyslexic and comic sans for example.
