I had some sugar syrup leftover after glazing the loaf, so rather than water it, I made a shaken espresso with it.

and so simple. Syrup, a shot of espresso and ice, then shake until it no longer rattles.
(Also valid with your favourite liqueur instead of the sugar syrup).
