But now I have read it. Yes, this is so strong and I often feel this could happen. People living in fear because they grasp at 'reasons' uttered by other clueless people, reading personal opinions in social media and mistaking them for truth because 'it's published', and the ones confusing genuine, valid questioning with suspicion.

The celebration of ignorance so much so that it is a sort out quality in politicians is troubling. It's like we are in a race to the bottom.

Reason and Logic support scientific method of thought… scientists may not have all the answers or get it right every time, but the Method works. The failure to grasp the very principles of rational thought gives rise to "alternative facts" and allows everyone the liberty of choosing ignorance at the peril of us all.
