"turn your audience into a business." - mmm... are you sure you thought it through? i am pretty sure mastodon tries to be an antithesis of multiple, well know companies trying to turn people into a business.

@fmn I think you misunderstand our company ethos. We're against platform monopolies that inevitably exploit users. We're not against people using social media for business! Plenty of artists, musicians, YouTubers and journalists here on the fediverse for whom social media is how they earn their living.
