That design was originally supposed to just be a background the thing I actually wanted to draw, but now that I've drawn it I think I prefer the background design on its own.

Maybe blend modes can save it, but I kinda want to keep trying to make the foreground work without blends, because it's meaningful to me. #art #MastoArt #DigitalArt
This is the same image in the previous post, included for reference: a colorful zigzag airbrush pattern.
The same zigzag design with a foreground image added. It's four long curvy shapes, trying to evoke the feeling of being pulled, like sugar or taffy. They are all off-white with brown and green "cells" inside, with some airbrushed drop shadows to give them definition against the background.
The same image as previous, except the foreground has been given a blend mode to make it slightly transparent with more intense colors.
The same image, except the foreground's shape now shows the color inverse as the background.
