Good science fiction book. The technology is surprising, unpredictable, yet not magical, which is good. Like "2001 Space Odyssey" also has a massive time leap ... it's like two books. Works well.

it drives me batty to see Very Smart People™️ get taken in by #corpospeak who would absolutely skewer the same person for suggesting the wrong statistical test.
