Thursday 14th August-Friday 15th August:
I will present a living #art installation as part of my work with Síolta Glasa in Limerick, Ireland. The work is about the entangled climate impact of clothing, technology and industry.
I will set up a stall in Arthur's Quay Shopping Centre, where I will invite passers by to contribute words or drawings to a 'string figure' artwork based on Limerick Lace, a historical industry in the city.

I'll be in Arthur's Quay Shopping Centre all day Thursday 28th and Friday 29th making and documenting string figures. Anyone is welcome to pop by and add some thoughts.

I will present a string, timber and net art installation as a conversation starter about how we think about clothing from the perspectives of climate, technology, colonialism and history.
I'll also be performing some string figures live in the space!

String figures galore. This one is 'a big piece of yam' in Igbo territories and 'the devil' in the Tuvalu. My daughter says it's 'a mask', and I use if for 'duality'.
They are a versatile storytelling media.
