KiCad is a free, open source suite of #CAD tools for schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design.

We really like it, so we've made a newer version available on Raspberry Pi OS. We're also helping #KiCad with their end-of-year funding drive.

So under which license do you publish the "USB Lead Breakout" design? A single sentence in a blog post is very sparse and there is nothing else in the design files.

Recommendation: Decide on an OSI-approved #opensource license, and distribute it inside the zip.

@kerel License page is at https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com/licence.html. It has been put into the public domain, and made available with permission to use, copy, modify, and/or distribute the design for any purpose with or without fee.

In 1992 we needed a $40'000.00 IBM workstation to run such an app. Just sayin'
