@neauoire There are other processes involved sometimes too. When the Moon is New, I leave the drawing computer on the windowsill overnight, surrounded by 3 candles, and a harddrive platter smeared with garlic hanging above.

Indeed!

Tomáš, have you ever thought of trying [Unison]? It's supposed to be like rsync, but bidirectional.
It's been on the back of my mind, since I make heavy use of syncthing, but I think unison + tailscale could be a much more lightweight alternative.

I think we lost files with that once.

Bidirectional things are fun, until they figure out wrongly which side is newer.

#syncthing has worked brilliantly for me for years now, but it's a much heavier solution. Then again, it can be configured to scan periodically (instead of trying to watch all of the files at once), and I do have a ton of files monitored with it, so for simpler applications, it might not be all that heavy.

see, what you should do is install Proxmox, containerize a Debian install, install and run Docker on that Debian install, with a Nextcloud instance in a docker container. A matroska doll of containers! So much fun!

actually, I just created a prompt for you to use with Windows Copilot to have the agentic AI set this entire thing up for you. Easy! Future Proof! Just subscribe to my substack. It has a lot of agentic AI and Race Realism content, so it’s fun for the whole family.
