#Introduction to "1-paper-a-day 2022"
After countless conversations that I read too little, I decided to read 1 paper on every workday of 2022 and point to them on SocMedia.

Papers are in the general area of #cognitive + #sensorimotor #neuroscience, including meta-stuff such as #OpenScience.

List of papers so far with links to tweets - toots from now on…

I'm at #133 – doesn’t mean I had lots of vacation but rather that sticking to the plan hasn't been easy ;)

Oh my gosh what a good idea to read more. There was discussion some time ago about posting summaries using an a.gup.pe group. You can read about it here:

tldr; mark your posts to @oneabstractaday @a.gup.pe (space added to not engage the bot) and it will be boosted out to everyone following the group

I'm going to see where I can put this group in my feed to use it as a source of encouragement to meet my own reading goals!

@danwchan Hi, thanks for the tip - I've signed up, curious what that will bring ;)
Still unfamiliar with the concepts such as groups here on Mastodon.

Yes me too. It was a while ago when folks talked about the idea and I didn't notice many posts on my home feed, but I put it in a new list I am watching so maybe I will see them now. I checked the group profile itself and it seems like it might take a moment to boost things. I imagine that in the future filters incorporating users/lists (at the moment filters only work on keywords... I think) could serve as the basis of a nice way to discover papers.

@danwchan will depend somewhat on how diverse the tips are I guess. If too diverse, people will not want to follow..

yes I agree this is why I say "future filters" because in it's current form the group may scale to become a very messy feed of articles. but maybe with better filtering it will be more useful.
