I have this tiny Bluetooth transmitter module. The connectors have half the pitch of the usual pitch on bread boards and are difficult to solder. Whatโ€™s the easiest way to prototype stuff with these tiny connectors. #electronics #diyelectronics

Anyone know what this box is? I saw it on a telephone pole along a bike trail recently. It has a long antenna with two spiral sections sticking out the bottom.

I worked with Noe from Adafruit on this MIDI Guitar project. I wrote the code, he did the CAD and we collaborated on the concept and components.

i wanted to have a good quality demo of the 2in/2 out quantizer progress for the modular melody maker aka not recorded with my phone. both ADC inputs are receiving a random waveform, the waveform is quantized and output through the DAC.

for the patch, braids is receiving one of the 1v/oct signals and is going into a VCA with a triangle wave CV signal. the output of the VCA is going into IN on rings. rings is getting the other 1v/oct signal along with a gate trigger on strum.

I pulled apart an LED bulb. I can't remember the lumens but think it was 200lm. I want to use the individual LEDs with an Arduino but don't know what resistor to use with each as I'm not sure how big a punch each one packs. The resistor for all 36 tiny LEDs is in the second photo โ€“ looks like [brown black black black red] to my eyes.

Any idea how I can calculate the resistor needed for one bulb please?

Todayโ€™s โ€œbecause we canโ€: powering antique telegraph equipment with a desk toy stirling engine. The engine produces about 400mA at 3v, which is just barely enough to actuate the voice coils on the receiver. If you listen carefully you can actually hear the engine slowing down as the load on the generator increases!
