I wonder if all of this now slop, but eventually "great", AI crap will start pushing people back to using #lynx and the like, or even #gopher. Why bother with images and videos any more when signal-to-noise ratio gets below a certain point.

I appreciate that @eLife decision to provide a 'partial feed' of work judged "solid" in order to get indexed was made in consultation with the community, and it serves researchers' interests to have their papers indexed. It has changed but only in good ways! And I didn't even really notice the changes at first.
When I started listening again it felt familiar. The core format is there, but it feels like it's matured. I especially love the interviews.
