This is a terrible idea. As examples of terrible ideas let me point out things like introducing rabbits and cane toads in Australia. This makes it look like Washington DC is doing something, without having to take the actions that will genuinely avert the worst of the Climate Crisis. In this way the oil companies aren't threatened.

In trying to look "balanced" this article makes it look reasonable to wait five years for technology that doesn't yet fully exist, and may be deeply damaging in its own right.

@Muse I agree! However, at this point I believe that as a faltering civilization we (US-ians) need to work to keep the people we have before they move to another country with better opportunities.

Zi di guqin's music is usually charmingly traditional. In this video they decided to have fun with getting funky!

Has anyone else been watching Dwight in Shining Armor? I stumbled upon it on IVIEW and am hooked. It kind of reminds me of the old Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Like many shows you have to not mind that the first episode or two is a little awkward, and then it picks up speed!

What's most interesting here is that unlike a dog or cat who would just bite/chew/play with them the orangutan knows exactly what to do with them...puts them on...looks through them...removes them to compare...puts them back...sits, looks...

Reminds me of Jake. Jake visited us several times. Once he hung out at our front door, and I mean "right at" our front door, as in "sleeping on the doormat". The local University Puma project had been tracking Jake, so they told us that Jake weighed in at about 160lbs - he wasn't full grown yet.

Women on Long COVID and Medical Misogyny.

In June, Dr Massimo Galli, a well-known infectious diseases specialist in Italy, disclosed that since contracting Covid in January, he had experienced widespread muscle pain and “a fair amount of fatigue that I did not have before”.

The interview, headlined My Long Battle With Long Covid, contained a mea culpa: Galli confessed that he had initially doubted the condition. “With due embarrassment,” he admitted to having believed many long Covid symptoms – including brain fog and cardiovascular issues – to be psychosomatic phenomena. “Now that I’m myself affected, I have to reconsider some of my beliefs,” Galli said.

One of Italy’s best-known Covid experts had, in other words, failed to give credence to the experiences of long Covid patients until he himself became one.

The ducks look like a kind called 'khaki campbell' ducks...one of the things that has happened by watching the accts of three different 'homesteader's on yootoob...I've learned about the many and varied types of ducks and chickens...there are a LOT of different kinds out there!

Kuranda station is definitely pretty. Kuranda itself is too, even if it's very touristy now.

I love Van Gogh. I have copies of his work in my home, and have gone to all the tours of his original artwork at the National Gallery of Victoria. I would mourn the loss of any of his paintings. He also doesn't deserve disrespect, unlike perhaps Picasso. However, If we wipe ourselves out from not taking appropriate action when it comes to the climate crisis and its consequences (such as COVID), who will be left to appreciate Van Gogh's art? His art is important, but not more important than our collective survival. I would like to save both us and our expressions of creativity. Can we do it?

#InfiniTime 1.11 is out!
The new release brings countless improvements and new watchfaces.

in reply to PINE64

Previously, to have a custom watchface, I had to compile it into InfiniTime if I understand it correctly. Does this update enable that I would have watchfaces as separate files on which InfiniTime doesn't depend?

@nergal No, I'm mad because we will have more and more game stores for just 2 games. just like in the streaming world with netflix and disney plus

Diversity is good but not like this

@nergal Yup, most of them do the same thing.

It would be better if it was just like Steam, Epic store, GOG and humble bundle. Each one serve different thing

But origin is just wrapper for ea to sell their games which can be fine on steam, nothing new introduced. I was happy when sony released their games on steam

We need something relatable, friendly and Australian, but we also need something cheap. I have a concept ready. Please hire me. I'm very affordable!

No idea what the site's regular readership is like, if they don't consume science or astrophysics regularly (which precluded "alien megastructures" very much) putting implication-rich and vague questions might work rather well.

I believe the title is meant to be humorous. Their readership is highly educated.
