"Though many standard engineering projects around the world continue to speed up water, the projects I saw all aim to slow water on land in some approximation of natural patterns. For that reason, Iโ€™ve come to think of this trend as the โ€˜Slow Waterโ€™ movement. Like the Slow Food movement founded in Italy...in opposition to fast food and all its ills, Slow Water seeks to remedy the ways in which redirecting and speeding water off the land causes problems."

Pantos are BIG in Britain. We also have them here in Australia. I have considered putting together pantos, but as you can see it's a lot of work!

Does anything orbit the Moon?

Yes! A handful of satellites currently orbit the Moon and, now, so does #CAPSTONE! This microwave oven-sized satellite will test a unique halo-shaped orbit to support @NASAArtemis & @NASA_Gateway missions: go.nasa.gov/3URKmHc

Well you could buy an "e-Chair" from the Cavebear catalog ("if we have it you don't need it").

Or as we say about the e-Chair: The CaveBear e-Chair may well be the last chair you ever need. It is so comfortable that you may never get up.

Oh, Yes. I've just finished reading the original Chainsaw Man manga, and I *do* use Arch Linux.

How could you tell?

(Someday)

in reply to the ramblings of a ghost

@ghostwriter I actually lied for the jokes sake. I'm a PopOS enjoyer. I actually used arch, it's good and all, very clean and light.

It's too much of a pain to use for what's worth.
PopOs on the other hand have *some* bloat. But I actually like using gnome, and everything *just works*, no need for deep arcane lore to make simple troublesshooting.

Mint is cool too, but the idea was to run away from windows, so mint is not a great fit for me haha

in reply to H.B. Tyson

That's so cute! Is this from an actual storybook? Or just a play on the aesthetic? =D
in reply to H.B. Tyson

Did you make this digitally? Can I ask how you created this ink and paper feel?
I LOVE the nanking ink feel. My work is heavily inspired on this. (even though I don't do trad art so much anymore)

I'm Illustrating a story I'm writing but I just can't get this old timey feeling right.

Oh the agony of wanting to write, but being too tired to be able to. My brain is mushed up nato (rotten bean paste) right now.

The only good thing about long tired days where i'm introspective is that I get some cool weird ideas.

Anyways, I rediscovered a band from my 13yo, it's hype. Makes me want to write a scene where the characters use the power of hype as a magickal componente to summon a horrifying lightning storm and wreak havoc on the city for some reason.

On the sixth day of its mission, @NASA_Orion approached the Moon, passing over several Apollo landing sites and as close to 80 miles (128 km) above the lunar surface.

Maybe a naive #mastodev question, but are their pagination/cursoring parameters for the "Context" method?

I'm not seeing it in the documentation at docs.joinmastodon.org/methods/โ€ฆ

If a post has 40+ replies, will they *all* be returned? #development

in reply to Jackson Palmer

Yes, the context method is unpaginated, and it can be a source of slowness. Development in this area is much needed.

This is a big problem for Mastodon.

Canadian journalist Erica Ifill just had her mastodon.online account suspended without explanation. She's been sharing stuff critical of Mastodon re: intersectional issues.

I get the decentralized structure and idea that each server has its own rules. But this Reddit-style moderation, where moderators with god-complexes make mysterious and arbitrary decisions, is going to cause people migrating to Mastodon to flee in droves.
