The @NASA_Orion spacecraft is now on its seventh day into the #Artemis I mission.

Orion will exit the lunar sphere of influence, or the gravitational pull of the Moon, at 11:31 pm ET (04:31 UTC) and continue traveling toward distant retrograde orbit. go.nasa.gov/3OuAUXS

A tiny asteroid harmlessly lit up the sky in Canada on Nov. 19 – and astronomers saw it coming. It was detected 3.5 hours before impact, and then @nasa’s Scout impact hazard assessment system calculated where and when it would enter Earth’s atmosphere. go.nasa.gov/3GDaO2Y

Wow, gorgeous shot. I saw a streak exactly like this speed by one night last year. Eerily magical, fraction of a second encounter.

One of @NASA_Orion’s four solar arrays is seen in detail during deployment shortly after the uncrewed #Artemis I mission launched at 1:47 a.m. EST on Nov. 16, 2022.

But e.g. images.nasa.gov/details-art001… ended up in a different place - what is stopping NASA from putting all Artemis I images in the *same* album???

The cosmic drama at play in the Orion Nebula rivals its namesake Greek legend. Observations from three telescopes reveal that the region is being transformed by the massive stars that live and die within it. go.nasa.gov/3ERR2iW

don't hesitate cosmic forces that collect dust bunnies have any thing in common with nebulae formation?

Wanted to share that my favorite book on disability this year is free / open access from Duke U Press!

Black Disability Politics by Sami Schalk deep dives into historical Black activism to examine how the work embodied Black disability politics, often in a way white disability activists have not recognized. The author also interviews some of today's Black #DisabilityJustice advocates.

Florida prisons are holding a **special meeting** just to decide whether to ban my book permanently.

This is the email they sent my publisher.
