Interesting finding from @vectorgen regarding co-infection with both Zika virus (flavivirus) and Mayaro virus (alphavirus):

Some danish sailing women showed up at the animal rescue with some endangered tortoises they took from Antigua a year ago. And now they said that they are going to the Galapagos and want us to take care of them, k, thankyou!
Turns out it's super illegal to do shit like this! And also just such an oblivious, massively priveledged way to live or to treat living things (especially for an animal that lives for quite some time!).
So now the animal rescue gets to take care of the baby tortoises for the next 50(?) Years? Yay 🙁
Also they got the names of these tortoises they are going to abandon tattooed on their feet?
Are they facing fines? I hope they understand the reasons for the laws the broke.

Yeah, I got the 1st Rift consumer (not beta) release. Really loved where that was going.
Then Milquetoast Palpatine bought it and completely ruined everything.
