Smaller than I expected. I've had it all of a couple minutes, but the speaker sounds good. Works almost instantly with #HomeAssistant. Initial wake word is Jarvis, which is fine. I generally prefer #Mycroft, but I believe that's configurable if you spend more than 10 minutes with the device.

Hey everybody, just a quick follow up on the PineVoice announcement post.
* The speaker cannot currently be used as a standalone Bluetooth speaker on the factory firmware. A future update will add this functionality.
* The factory firmware/SDK for the PineVoice has been uploaded to our Codeberg page: codeberg.org/pine64/pinevoice_…
* PineVoice channels on IRC, Discord and Telegram have been created and bridged
That's about it for now!

Awesome! #PineVox is the product I'm really interested in, although I'm stoked to hear more about the #PineCam, too. Hopefully it does well and you release an upgraded 12mp camera version, even if it's twice the price. Either way, easy #HomeAssistant integration would really make this blow up.
For over a decade Philips Hue offered lights that work without sharing your data to the cloud. This is changing soon and we need your help to make some noise to convince them to revert this decision.

Half squee? I mean, I was seriously hoping this update would announce non-dev pre-orders for the #PinePhonePro, and they're not here yet, but... soon? Can't wait! 😁
Serious kudo's to Gaimee for being willing to tackle reverse engineering hardware H264 encoding drivers on the #PineCube! Looking forward to hooking my PineCube up to #HomeAssistant!
Sidenote:Is there any possibility the Pine64 blog might ever adopt a #fediverse commenting plugin? I think you'd get much more interaction...
