Maron looking pretty sleek as she protects the drying wash and persimmons. Wolfy mountain rock fox of a dog... I have to get a video at 5 o'clock when she howls along with the town speakers blaring Edelweiss or some sort of music.. She can really get into it throwing her head up, getting me to wonder if it's some sort of lonely lament for the old, free, wild, days of just joy at being fed and having a walk in the near future: could be both I guess. #MaronTheShiba

A mole would probably be a tasty morning snack... Maron tends to try digging them up, I guess some of their mounds smell fresh..

"Long Time no See, no sniffing."

After seeing the cats (Milky and Starry) running around having such a good time I was wondering if they would include the dog Maron. So I let Maron in for a little. Milky ran over and and touched nose but Starry disappeared, not ready to trust another species yet I guess... Milky is nice, after gnawing on that deer bone for a day or so Maron's breath smells awful.

Maron caught a grasshopper snack during the evening walk. It flew out of an overgrown rice field as we went along a sidewalk, and she was on it quick. Hopefully it won't giver her any gut bugs that dogs are susceptible too. I don't think those wire bugs can convince dogs (or cats) to become drowning-death seeking zombies like they do with the grasshoppers and praying mantises...
