Sasanqua flowers started blooming. We got the plants a couple years ago, they were really cheap at the local vegetables and plants and groceries store so we got a bunch of saplings... Never got many saplings but even the ones that have been replanted last year seem to be putting out a lot of buds.. It's a shame these are double flowered and don't produce as much good smell and pollen for the ecology... Looking up the difference between Sasangua and Camelia showed me that oil from the seed of bushes like this is the most used cooking oil in the world!!! The oil doesn't smoke at high temperatures or something.. I'll have to read up on it again, but it was good to see that the Camelia seed oil is not just for Sumo wrestler hair....
