As I have been fully focused on the book, I’ve let photography fade a little into the background, but it was my first great love and I can’t wait to get back to it.

I mentioned that yesterday, I went to a quilt show to take photographs. There were many more people there than I imagined that there would be - I generally don't like crowds. It wasn't lost on me that I was the only man there - at least at that time. But I while I took photos, I watched the people there and the thing that impressed me the most was how happy they were.

Over a hundred quilts were on display and there were various booths selling fabric, quilted bags, etc.

The lily has five large petals each displaying different shades of yellow with black markings. There are several long appendages (I don't know what they're called) perhaps seed pods extending from the center of the flower. I slightly edited the light properties of the photograph to give it a bit of an abstract appeal.
