I liked your article because I didn’t yet get my feet wet with #PipeWire and it helped me understand its basics and advantages.

Pipewire is better because it supports audio and video devices and does both PulseAudio and JACK functionality. But the correct answer would be, "the one that works for me!" If Pipewire not working properly, then continue using PulseAudio.

PipeWire routing is godlike. For years I used to have a super convoluted #JACK + #VoiceMeeter Potato setup to handle all my stupid routing on Windows (for music production).

It was very much a botched together solution from pieces that weren't really designed to do what I was trying to do and just barely sorta worked.

Then #PipeWire and #yabridge happened and ever since I tried it, I haven't looked back (not just at Windows, but also at PulseAudio).

I guess people hating #Wayland are the same folks that hate #SystemD or even #PipeWire whilst refusing to #DoBetter themselves:

#Toxic #Neighsayers that refuse to acknowledge that #Xorg, #SystemVinit and #ALSA / #OSS are bad.

Instead they create redundant work that noone cares and that only.pulls resources from improving mainlike #Linux.

Or does anyone use #Devuan in any busoness-critical applicationm?
