The Venezuelan poodle moth is a beautiful animal. There was an article back in 2012 in #TheAtlantic theatlantic.com/culture/archiv… that traced the story and found out that it was real and not an internet fake.

Amastus epicostosia - aposematic tiger moth. Seen in profile on a rock with some moss, the moth has a bright red dorsal side of the abdomen with a few white circles lined by a black line. The thorax has a white and a black line running parallel to each other. Antennae and legs are dark, nearly black. To the top left there's an insect from dorsal view.
"Bolognese caterpillar" of a moth (Megalopyge sp) from Ecuador. Shows a very woolly caterpillar with a yellow long mane in the anterior segments and white fur-like cover of all other segments, laying on a leaf.
