Now the #Boulder Public Library, newly under a library district, is running its own cafe. I think this counts as the town's only community owned and governed coffee shop.

After the closure of Tonantzin Casa de Café, the main library branch is set to open a new cafe funded by the Boulder Public Library District.

I work as a #malware hunter by day, but I have a fairly broad set of interests.

For instance, I've been a ceramic artist for almost 20 years. It's just a hobby, but yesterday, I was able to use it to volunteer at a fundraising event for a local #Boulder arts group called Studio Arts, and spent hours showing kids of all ages how to throw pots on a wheel.

It was exhausting and exhilarating to get out in the sun and teach the simple joy of art to kids who never experienced it before.

12 years ago my housing #cooperative invited #BoulderCouncil candidates over for tea and cakes to talk about repealing laws that make it illegal to share housing in #Boulder. Many years of advocacy to enable co-ops as a special case and multiple city ballot measures and lawsuits later, only now is it finally coming to a vote.
