I'm super interested to see what the Website League (https://websiteleague.org/) comes up with. (I might even join their Discord 😩) It's an island network being created by #cohost users that's allowlist-based and very conscious of governance. I'm down for an experiment like that. Why not?

The FAQ on their site has some helpful analogies and values statements. I'm especially curious how I'd find new folks/islands/neighborhoods to connect with in a practical sense. In looking for where to create Mastodon accounts for some things recently, I found that some very relevant instances weren't in the common instance search tools or weren't labeled in ways that made them come up when searching. That scenario seems even more likely in an allowlist-based environment.

Want to say goodnight to #Eggbug and then be them for a while? This free game is for you:

Is corru.observer a widely known browser game? I played it last Thanksgiving week while I was meeting my grandfather for only the second time in my long-ass life and my grandmother for the first time in ~25 years. It was a weird trip that was perfect for late nights of playing a trippy game.

I think about it just about weekly, despite not having played it since. With #cohost dying, I'm sad I won't get my occasional dose of news and fanart there. Will I resurrect a tumblr account for following fanart? Quite possibly. 😣

Anyway, if you can handle the intensity of the visuals, it's a great game: https://corru.observer/

(Maybe it is well known. RPS did a piece on it: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/this-amazing-surprising-browser-game-shows-the-internet-can-still-be-magical)
