Dev & I watched the Race to Alaska movie yesterday, about racers that journey up Canada's Inside Passage to Alaska, a 1207 km(750 miles) ride through strong tidal currents, traffic-infested waters, and overall very difficult sea/wind conditions.
A very good watch.

I have rewatched Solaris (1972), love this movie and the book by Lem too (which I should revisit as well). I actually like that the movie is not as hard sci-fi and is more grounded in Eastern Europe, even with the streets of Tokyo, nothing changed here. Also, this quote - "We want to expand the earth as far as the cosmos", is so painfully true, especially now with hatred of The Other in Poland, UK, US, Russia, Uganda, Hungary etc, not to even start about treatment of animals or trees
