Florida prisons are holding a **special meeting** just to decide whether to ban my book permanently.

This is the email they sent my publisher.

(I responded offering to send them a signed copy.)

A lot of us came up on the web before JavaScript was available on the server.
Heck, a couple of us were there for the first couple of attempts too. Do you remember Jaxer? JsExt? Rhino?

Here's my explainer about what Content Warning means #OnHere, and what we mean when we say please CW that.

It also covers the perspective from being a spoonie in a very public place like this, and how Content Warnings can help with that.

I've put together a small, but incomplete, list of instances/communities with POC moderators. Mastodon.social, and Mastodon online, are not it.

weirder.earth, rage.love, scholar.social, blacktwitter.io, Mastodon.art, queer.garden, writeout.ink, mastodon.ie,.

Here's how to move accounts and take your followers with you docs.joinmastodon.org/user/mov…

@Pineywoozle before sharing it's more pertinent to first know if the admins of the instances you are listing want this shared (including but not limited to outside fedi). Did you check with them?

in reply to lashman

@lashman Yeah, the suggest one works intermittently for me. I have a favorites list a mile long, but it often complains I don't have enough likes to generate a good list. I had to open the range of difficulties and some other settings to get results.
in reply to Melissa Avery-Weir

@melissa yeah, same here! dunno how to get that one working 😛 so i just do random sorts in my favourites list, usually gets the job done, haha

One of the better things about winter is seeing the trees looking quite sculptural.

This feels appropriate for the second thing I've ever posted to mastodon.

infosec.exchange will be hosting the official account of CISA, The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, (part of Homeland Security).

My decision to block them and to call for more to as well will likely have serious professional repercussions for myself. However, this is an ACAB account, and the community I have here is one where "spot the fed" actually means something.

No feds on the fediverse.

Before you even consider donating more money to an already well-funded cis white men who's got a terrible track record when it comes to approving features that marginalized people have been asking for, maybe send that cash to marginalized folks who built community protection features like Marcia & Ginger, who are in much more precarious situations?

They couldn't stay off. If they are on a PC then it makes zero sense for them to not be on all stores they can be on.

"Though many standard engineering projects around the world continue to speed up water, the projects I saw all aim to slow water on land in some approximation of natural patterns. For that reason, I’ve come to think of this trend as the ‘Slow Water’ movement. Like the Slow Food movement founded in Italy...in opposition to fast food and all its ills, Slow Water seeks to remedy the ways in which redirecting and speeding water off the land causes problems."

Pantos are BIG in Britain. We also have them here in Australia. I have considered putting together pantos, but as you can see it's a lot of work!

Well you could buy an "e-Chair" from the Cavebear catalog ("if we have it you don't need it").

Or as we say about the e-Chair: The CaveBear e-Chair may well be the last chair you ever need. It is so comfortable that you may never get up.

Oh, Yes. I've just finished reading the original Chainsaw Man manga, and I *do* use Arch Linux.

How could you tell?

Just to be sure folks, this is a #joke

in reply to Nando's Brain

soooo sorry for being the kind of peasant that uses linux mint, hah!

(Will dare to try Arch someday)

(Someday)

in reply to the ramblings of a ghost

@ghostwriter I actually lied for the jokes sake. I'm a PopOS enjoyer. I actually used arch, it's good and all, very clean and light.

It's too much of a pain to use for what's worth.
PopOs on the other hand have *some* bloat. But I actually like using gnome, and everything *just works*, no need for deep arcane lore to make simple troublesshooting.

Mint is cool too, but the idea was to run away from windows, so mint is not a great fit for me haha
