A global average temperature rise of 1.5°C is widely regarded as a guardrail that separates us and our world from dangerous climate change. To keep this side of the guardrail, the world’s greenhouse gas emissions need to fall 45 percent by 2030 – just 90 months away. Although in theory, this is possible, in practice I am pretty certain that it isn’t. My conclusion is, then, that it is now practically impossible for us to dodge perilous, all-pervasive, climate breakdown that will affect everyone and insinuate itself into every aspect of our lives.

They don't need 'wealth' anymore. They got more than they know, what to do with already. What they do want is less of us fucking up 'their' planet. So all 'environmental protection' plans ain't for you and me, quite the opposite.

We already have those conditions locally. I agree with you, that such plans and preparations would be prudent and not just on some abstract 'state' level, but up and personal. I'm tired of hearing about changing my lightbulbs to LED's, which in comparison to incandescent (not even being sold anymore for several years) would save X, bla bla. Especially when the same messengers then call for electric vehicles for everybody, putting a farce on top of another.

It needs specific and believable predictions for local areas and then actions we can take. Adaptations. And no, that doesn't need some one-world GAFAM government or a useless body like the UN. It needs people everywhere adapting to circumstances, whatever they may be or develop into. And that needs information, not some political clowns clamoring for (re)election or transferring tax-payer money to the gazillionairs under some 'green' ink. Education to adapt.

Humans cannot survive alone - we are a social species, and evolved while living in clans or tribes. So, I think we need to work this out with some other people...
