Dead Space on Steam Deck is not good right now. Valve put up an "initial" shader cache, but it doesn't solve a lot of the other issues, like the map crashing the game that some other creators somehow entirely missed telling you.

Wieso sind ALLE unsere Systeme plötzlich "outdated" und im Git-Branch Master gibts keine neuen Dateien ?
Was habe ich nicht mit bekommen ???

New #introduction (since I moved servers). I'm Cam! I live in Waterloo, Canada. I've written a lot of statistical things, like books, Python libraries, blogs, etc. I like food, biking, and computers!

L'agonie (1902) Elagabalus conduisant un char a seize chevaux blancs, ou, sur un autel de pierreries, reposait le cone de pierre noire - Jean Lombard (26 September 1854 – 17 July 1891), Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons
The Agony (1902) Elagabalus conducting a chariot with sixteen white horses, where, on an altar of precious stones, rests the cone of the black stone.
I see three possibilities: 1. The original meteorite was looted in antiquity and this is a non-meteoritic conical stone replacement; 2. This is a concial (oriented) meteorite. Possibly lunar; 3. This is not the sacred stone of Aphrodite but just another stone in the temple area used for similar purposes.
"Lunar meteorites contain a much smaller amount of metal than ordinary chondrites, so most are not attracted to a magnet."

Libraries are just amazing.
I’m on the other side of the world in a lovely public library in Australia & spotted a book I co-wrote 14 years ago. And no matter where you are, librarians are always the kindest, most helpful people you’ll find. Still, somehow, this magical system of exchanging #books & sharing ideas is entirely free.
Speaking of libraries - and how lovely they are - especially ones that have your book, I have it checked out at the moment at archive.org
So I been reading through your book at a leisurely pace (great read by the way) I have to agree - it's unfortunately more relevant than ever.
Well, one remains ever hopeful.
@paulvg @internetarchive Thank you!
There are a few things I’d change or update all these years later, but the main argument still stands.
Starting another indie stream, tonight we're checking out Tres-Bashers! Come join us and support small games!

Dead Space got a remake that was released today and I was incredibly excited by it but sadly it's just a mess.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)
sadly we didn't expect #EA to actually care and make a good and playable game...
That being said unless it's spec-wise designed to be impossible to play [i.e. absurd anticheat] I'd say that'll get fixed by the community over time...
