I’m curious. Have you ever ordered (and paid for) a cellphone which then took more than four years to ship to you?

No but I have ordered, paid for, then had *refunded* a cell phone which would have taken more than four years to ship to me 🙃

I'm looking at that 4-wire solder joint to the daughter board and wishing you'd replace it with a JST connector.

That makes no difference, that doesn't improve anything, that's probably some kind of ocd.

I would like to see these videos with the impact on pedestrians/passengers in other cars. Especially how this has changed over time.

I'd like to correct one thing mentioned in the podcast with @christitustech you can claim your timelocked LBC but to my knowledge still haven't built out the interface to do so, it requires jumping through some commandline hoops odysee.com/@Alojz:f/claim-time…
in reply to Brodie Robertson

You shouldn't feel bad for this. For a long time, I had to upload my videos on YouTube and Odysee before they let me in. But when they did let me in, in all lowercase, support told me to DELETE MY CHANNELS and make a new one. Then that didn't work and they had to do some manual process. I like LBRY as a protocol, but I agree with CTT, dealing with LBRY is like talking to a mime.
in reply to Trafotin

@trafotin I do remember that whole delete your channel thing, putting everything on a blockchain sounds like a neat idea but it very quickly starts falling apart in practice. Let alone the obvious issue of not being able to remove unquestionably bad material like CP and doxxing

My part of greater LA sucks for long walks because you'll discover major roads, necessary for getting from one neighborhood to another, that lack sidewalks.

Watching @tchambers (and team) doing some super interesting and informative work on the growth of the #Fediverse and #Mastodon - this looks extremely interesting, and looks to become a quarterly update 👀 (also, if you're interested in this space, follow him!) indieweb.social/@tchambers/109…

New research from my team on the #TwitterMigration:

This is our first quarterly update analyzing which platforms are growing - esp #mastodon & #postnews. Includes new data on users posting, app downloads & more.

Get it here: ▶️ is.gd/EI1lOl

Any help boosting and sharing out this new work is very appreciated!

in reply to Andy Piper

particularly valuable quote in there from @nilay_patel "all the action is on Mastodon. That is where the app developers are, the platform is accelerating, and the underlying fediverse boundaries are growing".

This, to me, is absolutely key. Many of the things that made Twitter, Twitter, came from the developer ecosystem - having a vibrant ecosystem around #ActivityPub, #MastodonAPI and #Pixelfed and others can be instrumental for future growth and diversification of the communities.
