This Christmas an in-law kindly gave me a gift box of two pretty mugs and a variety of teas. It is completely true that I love tea, and I even collect teacups upon occasion. However, my tea cupboard is bursting with teas I will never have a chance to drink before I have to throw them out. I also have many more mugs than I ever use. Time to quietly re-gift.

Ah yes, @Girl Of The Sea, we have to live in a culture that values critical thinking. Otherwise, we are just polishing turds!
Currently, we value status, hierarchy, and power.
'Critical Thinking' has become a bucket of paper airplanes, pitched out of a window in a high, medieval tower, to a crowd of brute hogs below, hogs that don't value much of anything beyond an inch of their snouts.
Over the last many weeks, I have been watching 2 attentive chickadees fly to & fro my garden bird house.
But this afternoon, I noticed the little house had fallen down - just 6โ- but the front was tipped down into the mulch. We had a fierce thunderstorm last night, so it was probably left that way all day w temps over 90 F. I rehung the wooden house, feeling so sad for these tiny beings.
And yet, the parents have resumed collecting insects, popping in & out of their home.
So I am hopeful.
