It does!

Reminds me of a photo I took of the bike of similar vintage that got me around the Irish village I was living in for several months. A kind of fond farewell and thanks for excellent companionship.

Meta shows off Threads Fediverse integration | theverge.com/24106231/threads-…

Ignore the number of votes, they've already said what needs to be said
in reply to Brodie Robertson

Still probably more votes than articles claiming to survey a lot of people without anything to back it up
in reply to Brodie Robertson

frankly, the AUR might not have better moderation, but at least all the PKGBUILDs are out in the open, so you can take a look, and if they just extract a tarball from a weird URL, you might just not install it, while if it pulls the source form the official github repo and builds locally, you can have some peace of mind.

3 years ago I paid $6.99/month for Disney+, tax included. They offered an annual subscription for $69.99, so I switched to that.

2 years ago it increased to $79.99 plus tax, or $86.39.

Last year it increased to $109.99 plus tax, or $119.34.

This year it increased to $139.99 plus tax, or $151.89.

In the span of 3 years the cost has MORE THAN DOUBLED. Conveniently, they now offer an $7.99/mo plan—with ads. Disney knows they can make more off of you by selling ads.

Check out @pcottle demo some of our most recent work on supporting the ActivityPub protocol, which will allow people to follow Threads accounts from other apps (without needing the Threads app or an account) and down the road, people on Threads to follow people from those other apps.

[Blog] Hey! Remember a month ago I mentioned there was a scam BitCoin wallet in the Snap Store. There's another one. This time I took it apart to see how it works.

Edit: It's worse - they published ten scam apps under different wallet brand names. 🙁

Weather forecasts have improved greatly in the past few decades — “a four-day forecast today is as accurate as a one-day forecast 30 years ago” — in part because there’s more/better data and faster computers to run models. kottke.org/24/03/why-weather-f…

Kaechele's performance art work was clearly effective. It was meant to create the experience of being excluded, as well as included. That experience was part of the man's ticket. Art is meant to challenge. He was challenged.

MONA defends ladies-only lounge against anti-discrimination case brought by male visitor

"The 'ladies-only' lounge in Hobart's Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) is a place of quiet contemplation for people who identify as women, set among fine art and velvet furniture. But it's become the subject of an anti-discrimination case, brought by a male visitor – resulting in a tribunal hearing that became a scene of performance art."

@Muse I didn't know about the Guerrilla Girls, but I see that they're great. Women have always had a difficult time in every area of human life - except in some historical circumstances, and cultures.

First scans of Silbersalz arrived. It's motion picture film (really, it's Kodak Vision3 in different packaging) developed in ECN-2. It is impressive how fine the grain is. But their lab processing time is much slower than I expected.
