Switch to a distribution that is not #Ubuntu and that does not use either #Gnome or #KDE (unless the Gnome devs ever decide to give us an actual working screen SAVER, and I do NOT mean a screen LOCKER or a screen BLANKER!!! They need to realize that if you send no signal at all to some TV sets the screen does NOT go blank, but instead displays a big warning that the signal has been lost!). Once the #Cosmic desktop is out of alpha/beta I want to give #PopOS a try, but I have about had it with Ubuntu. Unfortunately I am not conversant enough with Linux to be a frequent "distro hopper" - too afraid I would lose data and software (Linux needs something like the MacOS "Migration Assistant").

The Cosmic desktop is still alpha but the concept of a desktop enviroment based of Rust is promising. I am looking forward to seeing the progress of this project in the coming months.
