Or maybe that happened when corrupt politicians the world over saw what happened and said: "hey there, Zuck, nice biznis you came up with, too bad if we were to regulate it".

Whatever the precise moment we got trapped, we will not exit the Twilight Zone unless Meta goes bankrupt. It is so simple and stark.

Shoshana Zuboff’s “The Age of #SurveillanceCapitalism: The Fight for a Human Future at the New Frontier of Power” definitely lives up to its reputation. It’s a pummeling analysis of how #BigTech have taken over the modern era, harvesting information, details, sentiments, emotions, etc. from our lives, creating profiles & predictive models, & working to modify our behavior for the purpose of profit-making (all without most of us understanding or being aware of how we’ve been changed). #Reading
