Novel attack against virtually all VPN apps neuters their entire purpose
TunnelVision, as the researchers have named their attack, largely negates the entire purpose and selling point of VPNs, which is to encapsulate incoming and outgoing Internet traffic in an encrypted tunnel and to cloak the user’s IP address. The researchers believe it affects all VPN applications when they’re connected to a hostile network and that there are no ways to prevent such attacks except when the user's VPN runs on Linux or Android. They also said their attack technique may have been possible since 2002 and may already have been discovered and used in the wild since then.

Thing is: bringing the performance up can quickly be evened out by also bringing the resolution up.
I am not sure what resolution is necessary for a really good experience on such a small device, but I am sure there's a golden balance to find somewhere in there.

I'm serious when I say that I am among David O'Doherty's first fans. Many years ago he came out to Australia to perform in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He was evidently struggling to bring in audiences and get laughs. A friend of mine working at the festival gave me a couple of complimentary tickets. At that point I didn't realise that she was using me, because I'm a big laugher and good for warming up an audience. I didn't know I had a super-power! (an incredibly minor one, but it gets me free tickets!) Anyway, this bit is for all us techies!
