"The team also made significant progress on the specification for Quote Posts. It needs a few minor changes, but we expect to publish it for comment in February, and start implementation right away. The current plan is to publish Mastodon 4.4 with support for displaying Quote Posts, and then add authoring in Mastodon 4.5."

Finally.

in reply to Italian Skeleton

i assume 4.4 will show them fully if you link them, 4.5 will add a full quote post feature button to other peoples posts

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

then what please? I never played it but RTS fans praise it as the best RTS, however I just have seen some gameplays & videos
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

then you said what I tried to say years ago but got so much hate IRL & digitally, most tunisians say that Civ are all the best RTS games in history.... anyway, thanks for telling me, like I said, I never had any interest for it, however I played similar games with that same genre like RoN the global conquest mode, the world map, so that genre is good when it is paired with another one & not it being alone
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I been playing Civ for years but £59.99 is a rip off for this version. Will wait a year or so for it to be priced at a reasonable price.

None of the above. As soon as I trust the next release and before my current install falls out of support. Stability and security are more important than new features!

Tuna Sold at Trader Joe’s, Costco, Walmart, and More Recalled Over Botulism Risk

Tri-Union Seafoods is recalling canned tuna sold under the Genova, Van Camp’s, H-E-B, and Trader Joe’s brand labels. The recall was initiated after Tri-Union Seafoods was notified by its supplier that the cans’ “easy open” pull tab lids have a manufacturing defect that may affect the products’ seal and possibly contaminate the tuna with clostridium botulinum (commonly referred to as botulism), a potentially fatal form of food poisoning.

Follow link for exact cans sequence lists, expiration dates and other identifier info.

Yikes! Glad we don't buy anything from those brands! (also, we're old fashioned in what kind of cans we use - you need a can opener...for the baked beans to fish)

I really love this 2016 #flu vax graphic from the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations.

important news for aussies taking HRT:

as of march 1st, prometrium (#progesterone), estrogel, and estrogel pro will be added to the PBS - this means you'll be able to get public scripts for them, which will be subsidised. see abc.net.au/news/2025-02-08/fed… for more.

the addition of prometrium is especially good news because progesterone was previously only available via PBS as a vaginal gel, and only under very specific conditions: pbs.gov.au/medicine/item/12465…

Problems with embedded videos in posts

Hello @Friendica Support

Why when I create a post and embed a video (I upload the video to my friendica storage) I always find it at the bottom of the page? I'll give you an example , I create the post like this

ABCabcAbcABC....I write something..... then I embed some videos from youtube like this,

and finally I insert the hashtags

#friendica #support #etc

I click on preview and everything is perfect , when I click on share, I publish my post, and I find the attachment of the video that I inserted at the end after the hashtags

What kind of formatting should I use? I've tried various combinations, I normally write my posts in Joplin notes, then I copy and paste. But I created this post directly "Create new Post" but nothing changes

A good alternative, at least for my usage is the Pegasus Frontend. I installed it on my Debian "Gamestation" that I use for small Couch-Coop or Party games.
It may not do the exact same thing but I manage all my games with it...😁

why do we need game "launchers". A game is a program. It should be able to run without a launcher... Please correct me if I'm wrong 🙏
