**Call for papers / artworks / performances**: xcoax.org/

xCoAx explores the intersection where computational tools and media meet art and culture in the form of a multi-disciplinary enquiry on aesthetics, computation, communication and the elusive X factor that connects and affects them all.

The 12th Conference on Computation, Communication, Aesthetics & X will take place from 10–12 July at Fabrica, Treviso, Italy.
Call closes Jan. 31.

yeah, it's common and unfortunate. it is what has stopped me from submitting. i'd have to pay for a ticket, plus travel etc and without an institution who is willing to cover conferences there's just no way to make it work.
in reply to emenel

@emenel
@raphael

I think the expectation is generally that an institution pays for an artist or student in their employ to attend such conferences. As a self-employed artist these things are always beyond my reach, but I shared it as it might be of value to someone.

I really didn't expect 1010Music to add USB audio, but it's a very welcome addition!

It's not the world's most feature-rich implementation—just stereo in/out 44.8k/24-bit—but it's perfect for my needs and lets me get rid of one more device from my live setup.

Fuck 👏 off 👏 "stale" 👏 bots.

If you are a developer that uses these to automatically close issues that have been valid for months and conveniently rely on a response from ONE person in an ocean of other responses, please reconsider your life choices. If there were no other responses? Fine. That's on the person to reply. But the bot should immediately eject itself from the conversation the moment someone else chimes in. Closing issues like this seriously hurts discoverability for developers and users alike.

Just make your own bot that every few days replies with "is this done yet"

I am saying this in the nicest way possible, COSMIC has a great dark theme but this light theme needs to go back in the oven and cook a little longer, it looks like an out of date theme where component names have changed and now colors are being applied to the wrong things
in reply to Jeremy Soller 🦀

@soller It's good that themes are fully customizable but the typical approach for a light theme is the lighter color should be the background and the darker color should be the elements you want to highlight. Dark themes you do the reverse, the darker color is the background and the lighter color is the parts you want to highlight. COSMIC does the dark theme great

Mountain Hare - from a stroll up the hills today. It was bitterly cold, but the hares were relaxed and allowed me to get close enough.

'Since 2020, the richest five men in the world have doubled their fortunes. During the same period, almost five billion people globally have become poorer.
