I don't like the sounds of that...

Well, he has to sound tough to reassure America... and to send a message to the Taliban and anyone else who harbors terrorists (like Pakistan) that we will be watching. It's sword-rattling, not a real threat of invasion. I'm fundamentally a pacifist, but I did not mind what he said. Because yes, we will be watching.

This is what our intelligence community does. My son is career Air Force intelligence and spent time in Afghanistan. We may have pulled our troops out, but all over the world, intelligence is watching the Middle East and other potential hot spots. It's what we do to keep peace and to try to eradicate terrorism. Biden was just making sure our enemies take note that we are capable of operations like this, so they should not presume to try anything.

This kind of thinking is being used as a backwards definition though - just because “ultraprocessed foods” tend to be very high in sugar, salt, and fat, that does not mean that all foods high in sugar, salt, or fat are ultraprocessed. This is a very basic logical mistake.

Now, some people will say I am quibbling over semantics - but it is exactly this kind of faux medical talk which leads to widespread confusion - such as the confusion these days with "cholesterol".

Think about that: Roe is reversed and one day later, 23 “grassroot repro” groups (many backed by corporate-bankrolled corporations and financial institutions), including a part of the Chicago DSA chapter, are seen with their names affixed to a COINTELPRO-like assault on the group that led a six-month nationwide protest campaign under the slogan “Post-Roe, Hell No!”- an assault issue by a group that actually calls itself a “socialist-feminist collective.”

"The Left" is hopelessly infiltrated and co-opted. No wonder the Democrats are confident in their disdain.
