Fans of movies in general should see it – I personally was surprised that it's basically a stoner movie (well, acid+cocaine) – I had expected something deeper, tho there are some Eternal Sunshine riffs (but much gooier)

Nice. I didn't know about "Forms", which is a great additional to my installed apps.
in reply to Nextcloud 📱☁️💻

of only the apps would work as advertised and all apps wouldn't generate endless logs about depreciated apis... I keep having to disable 'standard' apps because they just don't work, are full of bugs or otherwise do not work properly, it's stupidly frustrating.

I love when people are like this.
It is also one of my favourite bits about proper scientists, because they celebrate being proven wrong as much as right, because it means that things have progressed.

Well, it's *been* on Steam once, and I'm currently playing it through Bottles on Steam Deck flawlessly 😛

Fog Farming. This would work along many seacoasts. It would have been great in Sonoma & other CA coastal areas. In my long ago Sebastopol #garden, the trees over my gardens provided at least of quarter of the garden's #water needs, met by #fog condensing on & dripping from the trees / vines above. Nice that it's DIY #lowtech.:

I TOOK LIQUID SHITS LIKE 3 TIMES SINCE 5AM aaaaaaaaaAAAaAAA
in reply to american

Please DO NOT announce to the fediverse when you are liquid shitting. This has been a reoccurring issue, and I'm not sure why some people have such under developed social skills that they think that a social network full of mostly female strangers would need to know that. No one is going to be impressed and give you a high five (especially considering where that hand has been). I don't want to add this to the rules, since it would be embarrassing for new users to see that we have a problem with this, but it is going to be enforced as a rule from now on. If it occurs, you will be warned, then additional occurrences will be dealt with at the discretion of modstaff. Thanks.

that's nuts, right? Like, that's the same SDK they use. And the docs are looking good. I wonder if it'll run on Linux, but I own Metro at PS4, so whatever.

P.S. I'll probably buy it again in Steam sometime in future. Long future that is.

Synth genius Wendy Carlos studied physics & #music at Brown & Columbia. She helped develop the 1st Moog synthesizer & her 1968 classical album Switched-On Bach went platinum. She brought music & tech together & composed soundtracks for A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Tron & more.

Carlos was assigned male at birth & transitioned to female. Unfortunately, many journalists focus more on her gender than her accomplishments that changed music forever. wendycarlos.com #history #HistoryRemix

She was an inspiration to me during my time as a music technology student. I seem to remember we were originally introduced to her in our history of computer music module as Walter Carlos, but quickly became aware that attributing her works as Wendy Carlos was more appropriate. Hopefully, I’m misremembering.

This is a tricky one!

What Happens if a Conjoined Twin Commits a Crime?

"English jurist William Blackstone famously stated that “it is better than ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer.” That line of thinking is precisely what makes so many people fascinated by the legal problem of what penalties would be fair if one conjoined twin breaks the law. After all, punishing the guilty twin would invariably mean punishing the innocent twin simultaneously, right? This specific legal issue has been examined in depth by legal experts worldwide, regularly used as a thought experiment (particularly in law schools), and explored in shows like American Horror Story."
