Clone-a Lisa: an in-browser game where you have 60 seconds to paint a forgery of the Mona Lisa. vole.wtf/clone-a-lisa/

OMG. Please don't be crap. Please don't be crap. ๐Ÿคž Then hopefully Episodes 1 & 2 get this treatment ๐Ÿคค.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

Sounds like it is nvidia-only game? I hope I'm wrong. Just sick of all exclusives. I'm still using 1070 and been waiting for an affordable card for a long time. AMD or Intel. Quite interested in the rumoured battlemage from Intel.

#merchtodon delivered :blobcataww:

Pins - my fav!!! beyond expectation, great quality, with even two clutches on the back (so the pin wonโ€™t randomly rotate upside down), so impressed by this detail.

Stickers - smaller than I thought but great quality as well. Love every single design!!!

Tshirt - the colors on T-shirts do not seem as brilliant as the ones on those pins, other than that everything is great, the smallest size can fit petite females with the tshirt tucked in. The sizing with mastodon logo is sooooo damn cute!!

Packaging - the only thing that might need improvement is the packaging. International delivery is fast (within a week from UK to US) but the paper envelope got one giant hole on it, and my pins almost fall out from it :blobsad: Iโ€™d cry to death if it really happenedโ€ฆ hope international packaging can get sturdier in the future !

My article on Linux players getting banned on Apex Legends again was updated. EA continue the bans, and repeatedly tell people it was correct with no reason being given. EA have yet to reply to me on this for a statement.

This is funny, someone linked to my Steam Group post on the Proton 5 year anniversary...because @gamingonlinux is banned from /r/linux loool

Also, those comments, once again people refuse to take the win and complain that it's "just a bunch of patches for Wine". People just really don't understand all that Valve has done and just moan.

So. When attempting to report fake accounts, there is no actual way to do this. Especially if they have posted nothing.

The fuck @Gargron ?

Why is there no good way to report a fake account like this one? Which SCREAMS "IMMA BOT, DADDY"?

in reply to Jennifer Wojcik

Apologies, looks like it's a mistake in our official Android app. Reports generally don't require any specific posts to be attached. You can report from the web app while we fix this.

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

Both this and the DeckHD screen claim that they match the originals 60Hz refresh rate, but the original is a 40-60 hz variable refresh rate screen.

Do these do that? Who knows.

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

kind of neat - my deck came with a single dead Pixel that I haven't bothered to do anything about, been saving it as justification for upgrading the screen ๐Ÿ˜€

#Bots are better than humans at cracking โ€˜Are you a robot?โ€™ #Captcha tests, study finds
New study suggests effort users put in cracking these puzzles every day may be more trouble than its worth. A recent comprehensive study reveals that automated bots are substantially more efficient than humans at cracking Captcha tests, a widely used security measure on 100s of popular websites. independent.co.uk/tech/captchaโ€ฆ

Could the failure of #Twitter have been the point all along?

I'm still quite skeptical, but with each new seemingly poor decision & "mistake," I can't help but wonder...

in reply to Sheril Kirshenbaum

I'm still operating by Hanlon's razor, "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Although at this point I'm willing to accept that he's down to doing deliberately stupid things because he knows there's a >$1B debt bill coming soon, and since the company is not profitable he's going to muck things up before he has to hand his toy over to the debtors.

in reply to Sheril Kirshenbaum

Please notice that boy genius normally only makes the PR front man, and does not try to manage "his companies".

That seems to work somewhat, as for whatever reason, he seems to have enough fanbois. (Might be that these are hired by his personal team, who knows?)

BUT, at #dodo he managed to get the controls into his hands, and he seems to have proven rather conclusively that it's better for humanity if he has personal shoelace binders, who tell him how great he binds his shoes.

I get *a lot* of companies wanting me to put adverts up. My answer is always no.

I stopped replying but now they all just do this...

"I can see that you have read my previous emails"

Ah yes, that's exactly how to win me over isn't it.

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

I get a lot of SEO and obviously scam emails. A couple that I think are real but poorly translated or AI-generated pitched ads that 1. were for casinos but "fit with the theme of our newspaper" (it didn't), 2. was sponsored content that read like an article and 3. requested that *we do not identify it as an advertisement* which is... absolutely messed up.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

I bet they'll still say they saw that you read their last email even if they don't have tracker data. All part of the script.
