@nuekaze I think he means if you activate 2FA they will train AI on your code... for some reason they would need you to use 2FA for that

Love it. When I argue that the "liberal media" doesn't exist, I will usually bring up that there is no labor channel and any news of organizing by the mainstream will nearly always get squashed.

I love gitlab from a technical standpoint, have been using it for years. Their saas pricing is a joke, basic plan being more expensive than github enterprise. I'm not paying 10x for slightly better features and will move all my shit to github in the future. Rug pull somebody else, thx, bye.

This is a great video. I'd love to subscribe to your channel but I can't find it on PeerTube. Just saying ; )

This is a nice overview on sodium batteries. I have to admit that I'm a bit half and half about MIT, but this looks good!
This abundant material could unlock cheaper batteries for EVs

"Sodium could end up in EV batteries in China as early as the end of this year, but the technology probably won’t overthrow lithium. Rather, the world of batteries will likely continue to branch out and diversify, with companies developing more battery options for different situations. There are “nooks and crannies” in the battery market, as Whitacre puts it, and soon, sodium-ion might finally find its place."

in reply to Muse

Talking about battery electrolyte chemistry without also talking about the materials used for the electrodes is always a bit misleading, but this article does at least briefly mention the issue.

It's been Monarch Mania around here lately! The most activity I have ever seen in the yard. Of course they're flocking to the meadow blazing stars (Liatris ligulistylis). #butterfly #butterflies #Lepidoptera #nativeplants #Illinois #nature #macro #photography #SaveTheMonarch

Never been to #BurningMan, never been sad about it.

Let's just say: no artist could create an installation that more effectively destroys the internal logic of the whole fucking thing, than driving hundreds of miles to bulldoze a climate protest so you can party in the middle of the desert, in the same summer where hundreds were murdered & poisoned by smoke in #Lahaina & #Yellowknife & across the #PacNW.

Safe to say, Burning Man has utterly jumped the shark.

I knew some cool people who went, but I don't think anyone remotely sensitive to what is going on in the world will be going to #BurningMan next year. So bye-bye to #FOMO on that one.

The essence of capitalist “private” property is *sabotage.* Block access to something useful and then charge for that access.

Feels like adaptions can never win.

It’s not a 1:1 copy - “they changed this raaaaa!”

It pretty much is - “it’s too similar raaaa!”

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Their main complaint boils down to the fact that it's not as impactful as the original because it's an abridged version of it, but with the series being currently 1000 chapters long, it's simply impossible to "commit" to bringing everything to the live action.

It's a fair review but their negative point about it choosing a middle ground is actually a strong point for me, you just can't have everything and rewriting the entire thing is simply also impossible.

Best thing about EV, I can recharge at home. I don't have an oil refinery at my house, but I do have solar panels, so the distance is free!

cómo sugieres hacer el alt como complento de la descripción del tut... así con el titular de la nota? en caso de que el titular estuviera en el "cuerpo" del tut, también es útil ponerlo en el alt? gracias!

Linux Accent Colors Are Happening... At What Cost #Linux #YouTube youtu.be/Xl14xj6fxfM
in reply to Brodie Robertson

I wonder if it can be worse than the time I had to download like 16 versions of the same theme which only differed in accent colors...
in reply to Brodie Robertson

Honestly, I can partly see where Gnome is going for, but they shouldn't expect everyone to cater to them, especially after a pretty good compromise was offered. Would it have been that bad if some random person broke a gnome app on their custom tiling WM because they set the wrong accent color? I mean gradience is already a thing.

My only hope is that in the future a gnome extension exists that will make gnome compatible with this portal.

So hard to read fonts like that. That’s not what those letters sound like!

ah, I see the NYT has decided not to be compliant with GDPR, seeing as I have no option to opt out of their cookiewall.

Please use a trustworthy source as a news organisation that refuses to comply with EU law has lost all credibility in my book.
