This is a dorsolateral view of a point-mounted wasp in the family Sierolomorphidae. Overall, it's dark brown, except for the yellowish tibiae and tarsi (legs & feet). It's rather uncommon and it's often confused with members of the different family, Bethylidae.

This is a close-up of a point-mounted spider beetle (family Ptinidae). The elytra are black and come together to form a large globular shape over the abdomen. The head, legs, pronotum and antennae are covered with dense, golden setae (or hairs), most of which are flattened into scale-like structures.
