And don't give me the 'money' argument - a quick search shows that #ValveSoftware is worth about US$10 billion, whilst #Nintendo is worth about US$13 billion, so it's not *that* much of a difference... Our #gaming market is also larger than many of the countries the #SteamDeck is currently available in now.
This comission is proof that if the client really doesn't know what he wants he can still get a good product.
With the downside that it'll take 3x more to complete.
He wanted a mosaic of his favorite characters from The Last of Us, Dead by Daylight, God of War, Battleblock Theater and CsGo.
It wasn't really hard to do, the dude just really didn't know how to explain what he wanted.

Hi, I'm Michelle and I got into #GameDev a couple of years ago in my mid-thirties after a lifetime of wondering how games actually worked. Turns out, it's complicated!
So far I've done the obligatory too-soon dive into a "dream game" that failed almost immediately due to lack of skill, and then dialled it back a bit to work on a few game jams instead.
Here's a screenshot from my latest jam entry, a tiny low poly hidden object game for the #RainbowJam 2022 which was my first time doing anything proper with 3d. Very proud!

Future Proof Plays: Wildermyth - 2022/09/04
This game is friggin'cool. Generating cohesive narrative for random characters in a tactical RPG across multiple generations is no small task, and the system they're using under the hood is clever. I've played a few hours of it since this stream, and some of the story beats it comes up with are haunting, especially a fetch/double moment with a character who had already been through Some Shit.

A game exists called Wild Animal Racing.
