Flathub for Linux apps has been given quite the makeover
Flathub is my favourite place to grab various apps for Linux and Steam Deck and it just had a bit of a makeover and it's looking fancy.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)
Tone, linguistics, semantics. These are a few of my favourite things. Failures to communicate? One of my least favourite things, which happens way too often in the open source space.
I agree about the "Possibly unsafe" messaging. Both Apple and Google just inform you that the app uses certain permissions to gain access to certain features. #flathub should inform the user just that.
In regards to verification, anything not #opensource should get a yellow badge. Outdated Flatpaks should be red.

Ah, Linux, you gotta love it right? There's numerous different ways to do the same thing. One of those that people like to argue about it packaging and how to install things on Linux.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)

Flathub in 2023, they have some big plans
Robert McQueen, CEO of the Endless OS Foundation and GNOME Board President, has given a big update on what's going on with Flathub. Sadly, the Plaintext Group recently turned their funding proposal down.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)
Now, will #Canonical follow this move with Snap? Because I'd much rather support an ecosystem that in turn has the mechanisms in place to support the developers.
