Tone, linguistics, semantics. These are a few of my favourite things. Failures to communicate? One of my least favourite things, which happens way too often in the open source space.

I agree about the "Possibly unsafe" messaging. Both Apple and Google just inform you that the app uses certain permissions to gain access to certain features. #flathub should inform the user just that.

In regards to verification, anything not #opensource should get a yellow badge. Outdated Flatpaks should be red.

This is a fantastic development! We should also thank forward-looking distros like @elementary and its AppCenter for Everyone initiative for paving the way.

Now, will #Canonical follow this move with Snap? Because I'd much rather support an ecosystem that in turn has the mechanisms in place to support the developers.
