Het is het tijd om onze acties te escaleren: 11 oktober zullen wij de haven van Rotterdam platleggen. Tijdens de Rotterdam Block Party zal niet alleen de havenspoorlijn worden platgelegd, maar ook al het verkeer over water en de weg zullen wij die dag blokkeren.
Al jaren proberen actiegroepen via verschillende wegen de haven te bewegen om te veranderen. De haven heeft hiermee iedere kans gehad om op eigen initiatief hun medeplichtigheid aan wereldwijde dood en verderf te verkleinen. In plaats daarvan kiest de haven er keer op keer voor om door te zetten met hun destructieve beleid. Terwijl er iedere dag meer mensen doodgaan door klimaatchaos en genocide is ons geduld op. Als de haven het zelf niet doet, dan doen wij het wel: 11 oktober wordt er geen geld verdiend aan koloniale uitbuiting en moord!

It is time to escalate our actions: on October 11 we will shut down the Port of Rotterdam. During the Rotterdam Block Party, not only will the port railway be blocked, but road and water traffic will be stopped that day as well.
For years, activist groups have urged the port to change. It has had every opportunity to end its complicity in global death and destruction. Yet time and again, it has chosen to continue its destructive course. As people die daily from climate chaos and genocide, our patience has run out. If the port will not stop itself, then we will: on October 11, no profit will be made from colonial exploitation and murder!

What israel is perpetrating in Palestine is *a* holocaust, not *the* Holocaust. And yes, it is genocide. And yes, they’re also guilty of close to eight decades of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and settler colonialism. All these things can be (and are) true at the same time.
Basically, if you’re defending israel in any way, shape, or form right now, you’re the worst of the worst. Almost a century ago, you’re the kind of person who would have been cheering on Hitler. And yes, that’s also a valid comparison.
