Sneak preview of a future project coming up in the #KiCad series in #HackspaceMagazine The tutorials have been building towards having enough knowledge and skills to create and have assembled a
@Raspberry_Pi #RP2040 based board.

Sorry, but hearing #Pico this and #RP2040 that does not warm my heart.

Micro-controllers are neat, and granted great for education, but "Raspberry Pi"

#RaspberryPi4 in every mailbox, available on-demand, is the news I want to read.

Great interview with @Raspberry_Pi's own @wren6991 in #Elektor magazine, https://www.elektormagazine.com/articles/dvi-on-the-rp2040-mcu-raspberry-pi-luke-wren. If you want to know more about #DVI on the #RP2040, and Luke's DVI-Sock for the #RaspberryPiPico, https://github.com/Wren6991/Pico-DVI-Sock, which you can pick up for under €7, https://buyzero.de/en/products/raspberry-pi-pico-dvi-sock-videoausgabe-fur-den-pico, then you should go check it out!

I mean there ain't any competing microcontrollers with that featureset and price point.

Atmel's AVR Tiny series will be more espensive than the Pico if one needs even close the amount of IO it has and other mamufacturers usually go "call for pricing" in that area.

Some contacts of mine who did automation would likely revise their designs today and just put a few #RP2040 on a board instead if an entire platoon of #AVRtiny...

In today's mailbag, a 1.28-inch TFT watch built around the @Raspberry_Pi #RP2040 microcontroller, https://www.tindie.com/products/adz1122/pi-pico-rp2040-128-inch-tft-display-watch-board/. Comes with pre-blown firmware, but absolutely no documentation at all. So I guess it's time to try and figure out how they're talking to the screen. First stop `picotool` to poke around inside the firmware, and then more aggressive methods. Although, with a bit of luck, I can find some datasheets for the screen and other peripherals. Fascinating one!

I just pushed the v2.1 documentation release out the door. This is a major update to the @Raspberry_Pi #Pico, #PicoW, and #RP2040 PDF documentation. You can grab the documentation directly from https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com. Or go to https://raspberrypi.com/documentation/microcontrollers/ for links to what you need.

A playable version of #DOOM on an #LEGO brick using a @Raspberry_Pi #RP2040 by @ancientjames. Uses an accelerometer and tilt for movement, and a capacitance touch sensor to shoot. Subframe sampling to make the tiny monochrome LCD give 8 gray levels (not 3 like I originally thought!). This is miraculous stuff. 😮 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o76U0JPrMFk

Our newest baby the #RaspberryPi #RP2040 is all grown up, and has gone off to college. They got into Cornell. https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/cornell-universitys-digital-systems-design-course-is-taught-on-rp2040/

It certainly helps to have one of the best microcontrollers out there and one of the most readily available! #RP2040 is AMAZING to work with and one of my favorite #raspberrypi products!
