On a summery, 70-degree day at Dolores Park, Trevor Mead walked out of his apartment at 20th and Dolores streets at about 6 p.m. and started making a lap around the park.

But he’s not just any pedestrian. A data privacy lawyer during the day, in the evening, Mead slips into his 6-foot-tall, 7-foot-long illuminated dinosaur costume, turning Dolores Park into Jurassic Park. “This is how I deal with my day, with my life choices that led me to become a lawyer,” he said jokingly.

Anyway during the last weeks i noticed lots of reports related to high load and database-problems.
From time to time i had to call dica.interfel.de twice to get an answer. These days libranet.de always needs two or three calls to get any result.

As far as I can tell, this isn't about bridges. This is how the fediverse works. mastodon.social is technically a different "social network" from burnthis.town, for example, more so for Flipboard, Akkoma, Pixelfed and other platforms you may be seamlessly communicating without even realizing.

@Anomaly Deferred tasks aren't currently running. They failed during they initial run, which placed them in this wait list with a next try date in the future. From your screenshot it appears that the task creation date and the next try date are pretty close to each other, so it must only have failed a few times at most.

Running either the worker or the daemon manually will not clear deferred tasks which next try date have not been reached yet. There's an incremental back off system that increases the delay before the next try after each new failure. Once the task succeeds, the task will clear from the deferred list.

As time goes on, I think there are two surveys which provide the most valuable insight into the voters of Brexit Britain and Trump’s America.

The first, from 2021:

What wild animals do you think you can beat in a fight?

It’s an infographic. Most Americans are convinced they could beat a rat (72%), a house cat (69%) and a goose (61%) in a fight. Nevertheless, 17-24% still feel like they would lose in a struggle with such creatures, with the rest unsure. The only other animal listed that Americans tend to think they could take is a medium-sized dog, although not even half (49%) are sure of this. This confidence drops further with the dogs’ size: only 23% of Americans think they could beat a large dog in a fight, with 58% being sure they would lose. Americans are least likely to think they could beat a grizzly bear in a fight. A confident or foolhardy 6% think they could emulate Leonardo di Caprio’s Revenant character Hugh Glass in taking down a brown bear (although Glass was armed with a dagger). Lions, gorillas and elephants are seen as similarly invulnerable, with only 8% boasting they could beat them. There is a little illustration of a public stockman facing up to a kangaroo, presumably moments before taking a blow to his chest that shatters his ribs.
