Why Did South Koreans Get So Much Taller in the Past 100 Years? The country is almost unique in how quickly they got taller because they went from a low-income country to a rich, industrialized country in just a few decades. kottke.org/23/02/why-did-southโ€ฆ

Possibly the most frightening talent of the brown bear is an uncanny ability to blend seamlessly into the environment in an almost chameleon-like manner, allowing them to easily surprise their unsuspecting prey.

I'm always interested to see how universities are investing in open science. Lots of moves happening in libraries as they provide complex data management.

This Webb image features a special galaxy that appears 3 times. Why? There's a galaxy cluster here whose mass and gravity are so great that time and space around it gets warped. This magnifies, multiplies, and distorts galaxies behind it: esawebb.org/images/potm2302a/

I'm assuming this is using the camera system on the front of the HMD, correct? Does that mean this won't work in Linux for the Valve Index, because SteamVR on Linux doesn't work with the cameras on the Index? :c
