60 fires are burning across nine states in the western U.S., fueled by hot and dry conditions. On August 1, #Landsat 9 captured this image of smoke streaming away from the Bedrock Fire in Oregon. go.nasa.gov/3Kscai8

For folks in Ontario, yes our wastewater signal is heading back up, and yes Eris (EG.5.1) is already here -- in fact, it's already dominant (still Kraken and Arcturus around too).
in reply to T. Ryan Gregory

Yes, the updated Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax monovalent boosters that target Kraken (XBB.1.5) are expected to be effective against Eris (EG.5.1 = XBB.1.9.2.5.1) in protecting against severe acute illness and in reducing (not eliminating) transmission and risk of long COVID.

I have never been so lucky in my entire fucking life. #photography #Alberta #landscape

Madge was kind enough to pose for me as I snapped this photo. I've been slowly earning trust with a few crows over the past months. They are so incredibly smart!
